Essie Sampler Dies at 92
The family will receive friends Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
Essie M. Sampler, 92, of Powder Springs, passed away on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012.
The family will receive friends Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. at the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
Born in Atlanta, Mrs. Sampler lived in Chattanooga for most of her life before moving back to Cobb County 15 years ago. She worked at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga before retirement, and was a Jehovah’s Witness.

Survivors include her son, Ulysses Sampler and wife Irma of Powder Springs; brother, Clemond McCrary of Dearfield, Michigan; sister, Fannie Roberts of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
