William Lee Mathews: The 71-year-old of Whitesburg died Aug. 6, 2013. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Adam Mathews officiating.  Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors Friday at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hiram from 6 to 8 p.m.

Becky Dodd Berry Balkcom: Oct. 12, 1923 – Aug. 2, 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Episcopal Church of Marietta or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Marietta at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, with visitation to follow in the Fellowship Hall.

David E. Geros Sr.: Jan. 16, 1945 – Aug. 7, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Woodstock with Dr. Johnny Hunt officiating. Interment will be 11:30 a.m. Monday in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with Dr. Bradley Brown officiating.

Contributions may be made in memory of David to First Baptist Church of Woodstock Armed Forces Ministries, 11905 Hwy 92, Woodstock, GA 30188.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.

Joseph Carl Hardy: Nov. 25, 1943 – Aug. 3, 2013. A memorial service will be held noon Monday, Aug. 12, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Interment will be in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

The family will receive friends Monday, Aug. 12, from 11 a.m. to noon prior to the service.

Donald "Arch" Michael: July 20, 1933 – Aug. 7, 2013. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284.

Robert A. Rutledge: May 21, 1923 – Aug. 4, 2013. A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, at First Baptist Church in Willmington, N.C., with the Rev. Frank Hawkins officiating.

Lena Scognamiglio: April 16, 1928 – Aug. 5, 2013. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Deacon Bruce Reed officiating. Interment will be at noon at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton.

In lieu of flowers, her family has requested donations to the American Cancer Society in her name.

Eugene William Hutchinson: June 6, 1962 - Aug. 1, 2013. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at the residence of his sister, Megan West.

Heather Manfull: April 27, 1983 – Aug. 4, 2013. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Love Community Church in Acworth.

Richard J. McMenamin: March 10, 1946 – Aug. 1, 2013. Funeral arrangements are not yet complete.

Nicholas "Nick" B. Parry: July 28, 1963 – July 29, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Mt. Paran Central Church of God in Atlanta. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta. He will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.

Harriett E. Pilcher: May 26, 1942 – Aug. 4, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta with the Rev. Dr. Jim Lowry and Dr. Mike Cordle officiating. Inurnment will be at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. 

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta.

Robert G. Ream: Nov. 16, 1929 – Aug. 4, 2013. Memorial services will be held 6 p.m. Friday at West Metro Church of Christ, 4550 Hiram Sudie Road Hiram. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
