Charles Edwin Crowder: The 61-year-old Douglasville resident died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 18, at 2 p.m. at Bellamy Chapel Powder Springs. Interment will be at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Patty Damron: The 83-year-old resident of Hiram died Jan. 15, 2013. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bellamy Funeral Home Hiram Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Lockhart officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

Gustav Arthur "Skippy" Floodquist: The 70-year-old Dallas resident died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at National Cemetery in Canton with Pastor Jason Collins officiating.

Vincent A. Vassall Sr.: The 86-year-old of Hiram died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Radiant Life Assembly of God Church. The family will receive visitors at the church Thursday from noon until the service time. The Rev. Van D. Poe will officiate.

West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory

Donald William Zans: Aug. 31, 1930 - Jan. 14, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.

Donations may be made to the American Heart Association. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ruby N. Harris: June 8, 1923 - Jan. 15, 2013. Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 17, at 1 p.m. at Benson Funeral Home. Chaplain Carol Robinson will do a devotion. Burial will follow at White Oak Springs Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 17, from 12:30 to 1 p.m.

Jerry Benjamin Smith: June 6, 1943 - Jan. 15, 2013. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 18, at 4 p.m. at Benson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Greg Smith and the Rev. Larry Argo will officiate. Interment will follow at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 17, from 3 to 9 p.m.; and Friday until the time of the service at 4 p.m.

Doris Lennis Wiggins: Oct. 3, 1928 - Jan. 13, 2013. Funeral services for the Dallas resident will be held Friday, Jan. 18, at 2 p.m. at Benson Funeral Home. The Rev. Marion Beavers will officiate. Interment will follow at County Line United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 17, from 5 to 9 p.m.; and Friday until the time of the service.

Kenny Harris: Aug. 25, 1951 - Jan. 14, 2013. A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 18, at 5 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, Jan. 18, from 4 p.m. until the service time.

Tom P. Ryan: Aug. 4, 1923 - Dec. 25, 2012. A memorial mass will be held Friday, Jan. 18, at 2 p.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Father Adrian Pleus officiating.

Alvin Sims: Nov. 17, 1942 - Jan. 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 17, at 1 p.m. from Sweet Home Baptist Church, with the Rev. Edward Lackey and the Rev. Jeffery Wimbush officiating. Mr. Sims will lie-in-state at the church from noon until the service time. Interment will be in Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery.

Lucille Nesmith Braly: May 25, 1925 – Jan. 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m. in the Pumpkinvine Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Cole, Ben Braly and Sam Braly officiating. Interment will follow at the Paulding Memorial Gardens. Grandsons Wesley Bennett, Josh Robinson, Samuel Braly, Nathan Hembree, Madison Braly, Nicholas Coppola and Alex Moss will serve as pallbearers. Grandsons John Robinson, Hagan Robinson, Ben Braly and Matthew Gravett will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, Jan. 17, from 9 a.m. until departure in procession for the church.

Anthony Monroe Fultz: Dec. 21, 1944 – Jan. 14, 2013. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Jackie officiating. Music will be provided by Stephanie Vasquez. Don Martin, Joel Martin, David Leggett, Corey Hunt, Carlotta Leggett and Steven Fultz will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, Jan. 18, from 5 to 9 p.m.; and Saturday, Jan. 19, from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Other

Edward Charles Bishop Jr., 71, of Winston passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013. He was born June 27, 1941, in Atlanta to the late Edward Charles Bishop Sr. and Carol Lock Bishop. He was self-employed during his career as a residential contractor and was a member of the Ephesus Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Arminda Samples Bishop.

Survivors are his sons and daughters-in-law, Edward Charles and Pamela Bishop III of Douglasville, Scott Hiram and Laura Bishop of Villa Rica; brother and sister-in-law: Ricky and Joanna Bishop of Clayton County; grandchildren, Chip Bishop, Ethan Tipton, Chase Bishop and Zachary Bishop; great grandchildren, Madison Bishop and Luke Bishop.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating.

In accordance with his wishes, his body will be cremated.
