Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home & Crematory

Lt. Col. Frank A. Collins: Sept. 25, 1929 - June 1, 2013. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 6, at Powers Ferry United Methodist Church, Marietta, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The service will be followed by a reception at the church fellowship hall. 

The Rev. Jane Nugent, the Rev. Max Caylor and the Rev. Richard Lumpkin will be officiating. 

The interment will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 7. 

Contributions may be sent to Powers Ferry United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.  

Scott Aaron Flower: Aug. 11, 1970 - May 30, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Sam Jones Memorial United Methodist Church in Cartersville with visitation one hour prior to the service. 

The Rev. Nena Jones and the Rev. Brad Clayton will be officiating. 

Family will receive friends 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the church in Cartersville. 

Shelly Fortner: July 28, 1973 - May 31, 2013. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Inez Elma Garrett: Feb. 27, 1927 - June 4, 2013. Family will receive friends Thursday, June 6, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Tenn. 

Samuel Scott Harper: July 26, 1973 - June 3, 2013. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Friday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Bill Coady officiating.

Gail Biddy Kirk: Jan. 11, 1950 - June 4, 2013. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. 

Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home.

Jean Allen Erwin: June 30, 1923 - June 4, 2013. Private services will be held.

Ralph Wayne Fairchild Sr.: July 20, 1939 - June 2, 2013. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WellStar Community Hospice, the American Cancer Society, or to Emory University or WellStar Kennestone Hospital for cancer research.

Johnny Clifford Frasure: Sept. 20, 1947 - June 5, 2013. Arrangements will be available soon. 

Jon Loren Gillpatrick: Nov. 20, 1944 - June 3, 2013. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, at Burnt Hickory Church of Christ with Jerry Accettura officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 7, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Burnt Hickory Church of Christ in Marietta. Donations can be made to Georgia Agape Adoption, 3094 Mercer University Drive No. 200, Atlanta, GA 30341.

Cesare James Petrizio: Jan. 31, 1946 - June 5, 2013.  A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 7, in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from noon until the service. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. 

William Ralph Reed Sr.: Sept. 10, 1924 - June 2, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 9, in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta. Inurnment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park.  

The family will receive friends on Sunday for one hour prior to the service. 

There will also be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Summer’s Landing of Warner Robins, 604 South Kimberly Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Vickie Ann Hall: Nov. 3, 1960 - June 4, 2013. Graveside services for the Dallas resident will be held Saturday, June 8, at 11 a.m. from the Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery off Old Cartersville Hwy, with Bro. Thomas Garner and Bro. Joe Pritchard officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery with Brian Wortham, Cody Sherman, Hunter Sherman, Ricky Adams, Harry Hall and Damon Stamper serving as pallbearers. 

The family will be receiving friends Thursday, June 6, from 5 to 8 p.m.; Friday, June 7, from 4 to 8 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. until leaving for the cemetery at 10:30 a.m. 

Sara Vella Robbins: Dec. 3, 1929 - June 4, 2013. Funeral services for the Dallas resident will be held Thursday, June 6, at 11 a.m. from the Benson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Durwood Perry and the Rev. Frank Crowe officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Floy T. Alexander: March 17, 1922 - June 2, 2013. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 6, at 1 p.m. from Mars Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Bryant officiating. (Mrs. Alexander will lie-in-state at the church from noon until the service time.) Interment will held in the Paulding Memorial Gardens. 

Lucille M. Baxter: Sept. 10, 1924 - June 3, 2013. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 6, at 4 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ralph Nelson officiating. The interment will follow in New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery.

John B. "J. B." Carter: May 11, 1951 - June 3, 2013. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 6, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene McBrayer and the Rev. Brad Fussel officiating. Interment will follow in the Paulding Memorial Gardens. Wilbur Frey, Marvin Frey, Dean Frey, Scott Tidwell, Michael Tidwell and Robert Abernathy will serve as pallbearers.
