Harrison PTSA Continues Fight for Ninth-Grade Center

Dear Parents,

As you are certainly aware by now, the Board of Education, at its March meeting, . Unbundling the projects will delay construction for another year, result in additional design costs above the $600,000.00 already spent, and result in increased construction costs.

We are cautiously optimistic that the board may be willing to relook at the urgency of ’s needs. To accomplish this, we need to show our overwhelming support of all the construction and renovations included in the original recommendation to the board. The Harrison Community deserves all of the SPLOST projects that were promised.

Please help us as we show the Cobb Country School Board that the Harrison community is fully behind this project. The following are ways that you can show your support of this initiative.

1. Send an email to each of the seven board members listed below. If you have already emailed them before, please email them again. They need to hear from as many of us as possible.

2. Make a phone call to each of the board members listed below. If you have called them before, please call them again.

3. Attend the Board of Education meeting on Thursday, April 26th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Cobb County School District Boardroom. We have parents and students who plan to speak during public comment, but we also need to fill the boardroom with Harrison supporters to make sure the board understands how many of us stand behind our students’ needs. Please do not feel you have to speak. Just being a member of the crowd will make a big difference.
