Powder Springs Gun Safety Seminar To Be Held

The May program is intended for civilians and will be focused on safety, Georgia laws, and the use of alternative weapons. The seminar is free of charge.

With the dramatic increase in the public’s escalating desire to learn more about gun safety, the Powder Springs Police Department will host a gun safety seminar on May 21, 2013.

The police department held its first seminar in February. Such an event in Marietta had a huge response earlier this year.

The May program is intended for civilians and will be focused on safety, Georgia laws, and the use of alternative weapons. The seminar is free of charge.

The seminar will be held at 7:00 pm in the auditorium of Tapp Middle School which is located at 3900 Macedonia Rd. in Powder Springs.

To register for the seminar you should respond by email to SSlay@cityofpowdersprings.org or call 770-943-1616 (Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) to provide your name, telephone number and the number of seats you are requesting. We want to provide tips and training so that citizens who wish to own a firearm have the necessary skills to be safe.

Please do not bring any firearms or weapons to the seminar.
