Burlington Employee from Powder Springs Arrested at Store

Store surveillance captured him and another employee taking items from the store over a period of time.

Two Burlington Coat Factory employees have admitted that they took items from the store without paying for them.

Anthony Hester of Powder Springs and Alkini Patterson of Marietta each face a charge of theft by taking in connection with the alleged incidents, according to online jail records.

Hester "was witnessed via store surveillance over the last three months to present taking multiple items from the store where he worked," a Marietta police officer wrote in a Cobb County criminal warrant.

Store surveillance also captured Patterson allegedly taking items from the store over a period of one month, records show.

Hester and Patterson were arrested Thursday afternoon at Burlington Coat Factory. Hester was released early Friday on a $1,500 bond. Patterson was released this afternoon on a $5,000 bond.
