Accounts of the following incidents are based on reports.

Possession of Synthetic Narcotic, Dec. 17, 4400 Brownsville Road: Theron Richardson of Powder Springs was charged with the possession of a synthetic narcotic and miscellaneous other offenses when he was pulled over for an expired tag.

Burglary Forced Entry, Damage to Property, Dec. 19, 3500 block of Hopkins Court: Entry was made through a backdoor, and nothing is listed as stolen in the report. The narrative has no more relevant information, ending with, "At this time, I began my investigation."

Aggravated Assault/Burglary, Dec. 21, 3000 block of Palomino Drive: A mother told police that she had just gotten a call saying her daughter had been in a fight at their house. The alleged offender, Tahira Jones, who was charged with aggravated assault/battery—other weapon, was found across the street. The narrative doesn't include any other relevant information, ending with, "At this time, I started my investigation."

Burglary Forced Entry, Dec. 22, 4000 block of Evelyn Drive: An unknown person forced their way into the home through the backdoor. Stolen was an XBox 360, 12 games for the video game system, two digital cameras, miscellaneous jewelry, and $20.

Assault/Battery, Dec. 22, : The juvenile male victim told police that two males approached him, and one of them "sucker punched" him in the face when he was being confronted by the other. Video confirmed the victim's story. The victim had minor cuts on the right side of his face. The report does not indicate that any suspects were located.

Burglary Forced Entry, Dec. 23, 3600 block of Powder Springs Road: Reported as stolen was a Vizio flat screen TV, two Mossberg shotguns, and ammo. Other than the initial response, the narrative doesn't include any relevant information, ending with, "Upon arrival, my investigation began."

Burglary Forced Entry, Dec. 23, 3700 block of Lockerbie Lane: Reported as stolen was a Samsung flat screen TV, jewelry box with miscellaneous jewelry inside, two Dell laptops, a Dell desktop computer, Dell flat screen monitor, gym bag, and iPod. Other than the initial response, the narrative doesn't include any relevant information, ending with, "Upon my arrival, my investigation began."

Unknown Cause of Death, Dec. 24, 3300 block of Springville Road: Thomas Joel Presley, 77, was found dead on his bed by his cousin. There didn't appear to be any foul play. Presley was a retired beekeeper with Metricon and was a veteran of the Air Force, according to his obituary from the West Cobb Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Jacintha Cheung, and four children.

Burglary Attempted Forced Entry, Damage to Property, Dec. 25, Valero gas station at 3550 Powder Springs Road: An officer was on patrol and noticed damage to the front door. The narrative doesn't include any further information, ending with, "At this time, my investigation began."

Assault/Battery, Dec. 25, 4200 block of Pinetree Drive Southwest: Police were dispatched to a 911 hang-up. Upon arrival, a man said his sister and her boyfriend, Andrew Salaun, had a dispute about 20 minutes prior. The brother said the dispute became a verbal argument, causing another roommate to investigate. The roommate said he saw Salaun standing in a closet with a sword. The roommate said Salaun made contact with his lower abdomen with the pointed end of the blade. The police report doesn't indicate that the roommate was injured. The brother came to aid and told Salaun to leave or he'd call the police, and Salaun left. No charges were filed against Salaun, who has paranoid schizophrenia and is bipolar, according to the brother.

Theft, between Dec. 22-27, 3600 block of Hopkins Court: Access was gained to the house by breaking out glass in the back. Ceiling material in the basement had been pulled off, and copper pipes were cut and taken. The victim said his air conditioning unit outside was also stolen and hot water heater damaged. The victim reported a burglary to another house of his nearby in the 3500 block of Hopkins Court. The second home was damaged, but nothing is listed as stolen in the report.

Burglary Forced Entry, between Dec. 26-27, 3600 block of Hopkins Court: An officer was told by someone passing by that a townhouse's door is sometimes open, though the residence is empty. The officer found the door unlocked. The narrative concludes there, saying, "This is where my investigation begins."

Street Robbery, Dec. 28, Morningside Way at Grady Grier Road: Police were dispatched to a Springbrook Lane home, where a woman said her son had been robbed. Listed as stolen from the victim was an HTC touch screen phone and two hats. The narrative doesn't include any further relevant information, ending with, "I began my investigation."

Burglary Forced Entry, Damage to Property, between Dec. 28-29, 3500 block of Hopkins Court: Entry appeared to have been made through a hole in a closet from the ajoining residence. The rear glass door had also been destroyed. Listed as stolen was a Vizio flat screen TV, miscellaneous jewelry, two jewelry boxes, clothing, a DVD player, XBox, iPod stand, two iPods, an Apple laptop, an HP laptop, Nintendo Wii, $3,000, digital camera, and an iPad. Items were found in the ajoining residence, but the report doesn't indicate if all of them were found.

Damage to Property, Dec. 30, 4300 block of Morningside Drive: The victim told police that his parked car's window was damaged with what appeared to be a BB gun. He said he knows some nearby juveniles have BB guns.
