Powder Springs Pair's Rental Biz Busted
Father and son Roger and Taylor Mason are accused of collecting money from renters from abandoned houses they didn't own.
A father and son in Powder Springs are accused of renting people houses they donβt own, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and WSB-TV report.
Taylor Martin Legrand Mason and his father, Roger Dudley Mason, claimed ownership of several abandoned homes and rented them, officials told the AJC. They were found living in Powder Springs in a house they don't own less than a mile away from a home they rented to one of their victims, the newspaper says.
WSB-TV reports that at least one of the houses is in Acworth.

records show the elder Mason, 53, has been in jail since Oct. 4 on two charges each of burglary and theft by deception. Heβs also charged with theft by taking and criminal damage to property.
One of the burglary charges carries a bond of $35,000, while the other has a $10,000 bond, records show.

The younger Mason, 19, has also been in jail since Oct. 4 on the same charges. His criminal damage to property charge carries a bond of $10,000.
