A horse that was more than 30 years old was put down this morning in West Cobb.
According to Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman Denell Boyd, the agency received a call about 8:07 a.m. from Cobb County Animal Control about a horse stuck in mud at 1335 Bullard Rd.
Crews used a wrecker to get the horse out, but "the resident's vet made the decision to put the ... horse down" after a couple of hours, Boyd said.
