Cobb County Police continue to investigate a two-vehicle crash that killed one driver and left the other with serious injuries.

According to a Cobb Police news release, the crash happened about 6 a.m. on Powder Springs road near Kimberly Drive in Marietta. Authorities say a silver 2008 Toyota Tacoma driven by 65-year-old Nhut D. Huynh of Marietta was struck by a white 1997 Oldsmobile Achieva driven by 52-year-old Jose L. Olvera, also of Marietta.

Investigators say Huynh’s Toyota was going north on Powder Springs Road when Olvera’s Oldsmobile, which was going south, veered to the left into the northbound lanes, hitting the Toyota head-on.
