Marietta Woman Dies After Cobb Crash

Luca Kosic of Marietta was killed in a two-car collision on Smyrna Powder Springs Road late Christmas Eve.

A Marietta woman died late Christmas Eve in a two-car collision on Smyrna Powder Springs Road, and Cobb Police say poor weather conditions, including dense fog, were a contributing factor.

Luca Kosic, 46, of Marietta, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at the intersection of Smryna Powder Springs Road and Trellis Oaks Drive, according to Cobb Police spokesman Michael Bowman.Β

He said Kosic was a passenger in a gold 1999 Toyota Camry traveling southbound on Smyrna Powder Springs Road shortly after 10:30 p.m. Monday when it was struck by a maroon 1994 Toyota Camry heading northbound.
