McEachern Football Player Arrested

Jed Nwankwoh, a senior set to play for the University of West Georgia next year, faces a charge of disrupting a public school.

Jed Omyedika Nwankwoh, 18, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of disrupting a public school.

He remained at the Cobb County jail as of Wednesday evening on a $1,000 bond, jail records show.

The alleged offense happened on April 27, with the warrant being taken out May 3, records show. He was arrested at his Powder Springs home in the 4500 block of Legend Hollow Lane.

Nwankwoh is a senior at and played defensive line for the football team, according to the team's website. Earlier this year, he signed with the University of West Georgia, the Marietta Daily Journal says.
