Police Release Descriptions of Verizon Robbers

Another armed robbery was reported Wednesday at the Madison at Waterford apartment complex, also on Thornton Road.

Police are still searching for suspects in the Wednesday morning robbery of the Verizon store on Thornton Road in Lithia Springs.

The three young men are described as black, between the ages of 12 and 17, and all having a thin build, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. They were armed with a long gun and were clothed in all black, including cargo pants, ski masks and gloves.

They arrived in a black vehicle believed to be a Volkswagen Jetta or similar car (see attached photos) and made off with phones, accessories, a small amount of cash, and a clerk's personal items.

Another Thornton Road robbery was reported Wednesday. A woman at the Madison at Waterford apartment complex told police that a male put a gun to her head and demanded her money, wallet and cell phone, according to the sheriff’s office.

The male was wearing a bandana on his face and dark clothing, the victim said. A second male standing close by appeared to be with the gunman, she said.

The gunman is described as skinny with dark skin, wearing a dark shiny jacket, and having a Southern accent. The barrel of the gun was skinny and looked old.

The male standing close by is described as black with light skin, having a medium build, and wearing a blue or teal T-shirt with a long-sleeve white shirt underneath.
