Police Look for Civic Used in Powder Springs Hit-and-Run

A teenager was injured in a hit-and-run near the intersection of Shipp Road and Lost Lakes Drive, and the Powder Springs Police Department needs help locating the early '90s Honda Civic used in the accident.

The hit-and-run occurred about 7:22 p.m. May 29, and the white Civic continued westbound on Shipp Road toward Florence Road, said Maj. Matt Boyd with the Powder Springs Police Department. The 2-door car may have front end damage on the driver's side, he said. Also, a headlight near the driver's side may be damaged.

"We are told that the suspect’s vehicle contained at least two African-American males thought to be in their late teens," Boyd said.

The victim, 14, was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta with non-life threatening injuries and later released, he said.
