False Imprisonment

When: May 2
Where: 3800 block of Deer Creek Drive
Police were dispatched to a call of a man being tied up inside his residence. When police arrived, they looked through the window and saw the victim freely walking. He said someone had come to his front door, and when he answered, the person rushed him and tried to tie him up. He told police that when he started yelling, the person ran out the door. The residence didn't show any signs of struggle, and there were no suspects or witnesses.

Battery, Interference with 911 Call, Trespassing

When: May 2
Where: 3200 block of Caley Mill Drive
A woman told police that she and her boyfriend got into an argument at his house because she had taken pizza to her aunt's house without sharing it with him. She said while they were arguing, she put iPod earphones in her ears and turned up music. The "enraged" boyfriend ripped the earphones out and threw the iPod against the wall, breaking it. She said he then pushed her and scratched her hand. When she tried to call 911, he tried to stop her, she said. She said she didn't wish to press charges.

Theft by Taking

When: May 2-3
Where: 3700 block of Hopkins Road
The door to the crawl space was broken and left open. All the copper had been taken from underneath the residence. Damage was also done to a shed, and a refrigerator inside had been taken.

Violation of Georgia Controlled Substance Act

When: May 5
Where: Siniard Street
Police said Adrian Rashad Freeman, 31, of Kennesaw, was smoking marijuana in his car. They found more of it in his center console. On Freeman was $920. He was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Burglary

When: May 8-10
Where: 5400 block of Quarters Way
A HUD home had a hot water heater stolen.

Burglary

When: May 12
Where: 4700 block of Akins Ridge Court
Entry was apparently made through a bottom floor unlocked window. Also, a rear door was damaged. The woman said she was missing two TVs, three gold rings with diamonds, three gold chain necklaces, and a Toshiba laptop.

When: May 17-20
Where: 4000 block of Buck Road
Someone broke into the residence and took her flat-screen TV and laptop. There were no signs of forced entry.

False Imprisonment, Interference with 911 Call, Battery

When: May 19
Where: 3600 block of Sharon Drive
Police responded to a 911 hang up call. They didn't know the exact residence but arrived at the assumed house and tried to get someone to come to the door. No one answered, so police left. Police returned to the house after another 911 hang up. They saw a male inside, who wasn't coming to the door. Police heard a female yell from inside. They eventually made contact with the female, who told police a male was hiding in the house because he didn't want to get arrested. The woman said the male, 33-year-old James Anthony Hill of Powder Springs, was preventing her from leaving and calling 911, and that he pushed her down and tried to suffocate her. Police found Hill hiding in a closet. Meth was then found in another room. Hill was charged with battery, false imprisonment, 911 obstruction, obstruction of officers, and violation of Georgia Controlled Substance Act.

Fictitious Government Document, Meth Possession

When: May 20
Where: C.H. James Parkway
The report's narrative doesn't offer many details other than to say Kathryn Smith, 28, of Franklin, GA was pulled over for running a red light. She was charged with possession of meth, using a fictitious government ID, and driving on a suspended license.
