Powder Springs Officers Promoted

They were recognized during a ceremony this month.

The Powder Springs Police Department recognized some of the agency's rising stars.

Three officers who were recently promoted were honored during an Aug. 7 ceremony. Sgt. Michael Cochran was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and Ofcs. Tinene Alter and Michael Arrowood were promoted to the rank of sergeant, Maj. Matt Boyd said.

Four other officers, including members of the Cobb County Police Department and the Cobb County Sheriff's Office, received awards during the ceremony. The 'Employee of the Quarter' award went to Ofc. Danny Belgard. Ofc. Cory Dilbeck, Sgt. Vernie Dilbeck of the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office and Sgt. K.C. Robinson of the Cobb County Police Department received awards for meritorious service.
