Powder Springs Road Neighborhood Grocery Store Robbed

Three males held up La Tiendita early Wednesday evening.

The Cobb County Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit is investigating an armed robbery of a Marietta neighborhood grocery store on Wednesday night.

According to Sgt. Dana Pierce, three males entered La Tiendita, located in the 2200 block of Powder Springs Road, just south of Macland Road, at around 6:30 p.m.

While one offender approached the female victim at the register, the second and third strategically positioned themselves inside the grocery store. Within moments of doing so, the male at the cash register produced a handgun and demanded the cash drawer from the employee.

After receiving it from the victim, all three individuals fled from the business on foot in an unknown direction.
