Powder Springs Woman Involved in Fatal Crash

Sylvia Coleman, 64, was taken to Atlanta Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries after the wreck on Austell-Powder Springs Road today, while an Austell woman died from her injuries.

A Powder Springs woman is recovering after being in a crash about 2:30 p.m. today on Austell-Powder Springs Road that killed the other driver involved.

The woman, 64-year-old Sylvia Coleman, was traveling south in her 2010 Nissan Versa when a 1994 Dodge Spirit, driven by 42-year-old Adriane Coleman of Austell, crossed the center line while heading north, according to a news release from Cobb police.

It isn’t known why Adriane Coleman didn’t maintain her lane, the release says. She died from her injuries, while Sylvia Coleman was taken by ambulance to Atlanta Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The two aren’t related.
