Harris and Rasboro are friends, said Maj. Matt Boyd of the Powder Springs Police Department. Citing an exemption in the Georgia Open Records Act, Boyd would not discuss any other details of the case.

On March 7, during an investigation into a series of auto break-ins, Harris admitted to police that he entered vehicles to commit thefts, and agreed to show investigators the incident locations, according to a Cobb County criminal warrant.

Harris allegedly told authorities that he broke into:

  • a black Dodge Magnum between 6 p.m. Jan. 21 and 6 p.m. Jan 22 at a home in the 3000 block of Hopkins Court;
  • a pickup truck of unknown make and model between 6 p.m. Jan. 21 and 6 p.m. Jan 22 at a home in the 3000 block of Hopkins Court;
  • a black Saturn between 6 p.m. Jan. 21 and 6 p.m. Jan 22 at a home in the 3000 block of Ten Oaks Circle;
  • and a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban between 9 p.m. Jan. 21 and 6:30 a.m. Jan. 22 at a home in the 3000 block of Ten Oaks Court.

The owner of the Suburban was the only person to report the incident to police, records show. The owners of the pickup truck and the Saturn were not aware that someone had broken into their vehicles.

Investigators executed a search warrant on Harris' and Rasboro's bedroom, where they found four stolen GPS units.

Harris has been in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center in lieu of $10,000 bond for the past 50 days, according to online jail records. Rasboro was released this morning on a $5,000 bond.

In December 2009, Rasboro was the subject of a column in Atlanta magazine entitled "A Boy, His Mother, and a Swag Attack."
