Thornton Road Bank Robbery Suspect Caught

Police are still searching for the get-away driver.

Correna Gosine was arrested Thursday for allegedly robbing the on Thornton Road in Lithia Springs on Wednesday. 

She is charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault, said Lt. Bruce Ferguson with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

She is being held in the Douglas County Jail.

Gosine allegedly gave the teller a note asking for money and indicated she had a gun, Ferguson said. Gosine left the bank with $2,700 and got into a Jaguar car with a waiting driver.

Police say they are looking for the driver, identified as 20-year-old John Douglas Clark. He is described as about 5' 5" and thin. If caught, he will also face armed robbery and aggravated assault charges, Ferguson said.

The note handed to the teller was written on a Jaguar repair receipt, where the car had been previously repaired, Ferguson said. 

"There's only about three Jaguar repair places in the whole state," he said. "The car came back belonging to her."

Gosine's prints were also found on the note handed to the teller, Ferguson said.

She was arrested in Cobb County with the assistance of the Cobb County Sheriff's Office.
