Two Men Charged with Threatening Powder Springs Family

A mother describes seeing men in her front yard, aiming an assault rifle at her front door, calling for her son after her door bell rang.

Two men were arrested for threatening a Powder Springs family with a semiautomatic assault rifle.

(removed) and Brandon Anthony Fleetwood, 18, of Hiram were arrested Friday by .

The pair went to a home on Woodbridge Drive in Powder Springs where Fleetwood rang the door bell as (removed) aimed an SKS semiautomatic rifle at the house, according to a police report.

Resident Shamyra Barnwell told police that when she heard the bell, she looked out a window and saw the two men, who were shouting for her son, Kenyon Barnwell, to come outside, the report said. One of the men, Shamyra Barnwell said, was armed with a large rifle that he was pointing at the house.

(removed) and Fleetwood were arrested at (removed)'s home and charged with aggravated assault. They have been in the Cobb County jail since Friday.

(removed), who, according to the report, admitted to police that he had the rifle in his car earlier that day when he went to pick up Freeman at , is also charged with having a gun on school property.
