Video: Interim Police Chief Sworn In

Maj. Tom Arnold, a 31-year veteran of the Cobb County Police Department, will be working for both departments until the position is filled.

Maj. Tom Arnold, a 31-year veteran of the Cobb County Police Department, was sworn in as interim chief by Judge Steve Yaklin in front of family, friends and coworkers on Wednesday at the city's Municipal Court building.

Arnold will be working part time for Powder Springs while continuing his full-time job with Cobb County police.Β 

He was recommended by City Manager Rick Eckert and unanimously approved by the City County at .Β
