Warrant: More Items Stolen from Comatose Woman

Jessie Fisher now faces charges that include two counts of theft by receiving.

A Powder Springs resident who allegedly stole jewelry from the home of a woman as she lay comatose in a local hospital faces a new charge in connection with the June 25 incident.

Jessie Fisher faces a second count of theft by receiving after Powder Springs police learned that additional items were stolen from the home in the 3100 block of Pinto Drive, according to a new warrant.

The signature on a receipt from the Austell Road GoldMax, where Fisher allegedly pawned the additional items on July 1, matches Fisher's signature, police said.

Fisher is already wanted on a similar charge in connection with the June 25 incident.

Authorities were led to Fisher after a neighbor of the comatose woman who had been asked to check on the home while the woman was in the hospital called police to report a burglary.

Fisher allegedly took a pair of long, straight gold earrings, a gold charm with diamonds, and a gold tennis bracelet with diamonds, all of which was located at The Drop Shop Emporium at 2110 New Macland Rd., according to the first warrant.

In addition to those items, Fisher is now accused of taking a $500 bill, miscellaneous coins, six gold charms, three gold rings and one gold earring, according to the new warrant.
