West Cobb Officer Dies

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Rodney Kiker.

A Cobb County police officer who worked in the precinct that covers West Cobb died Tuesday while off-duty.

Rodney Kiker spent more than 23 years with the Cobb County Police Department, according to his obituary and a story in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

At the time of his death, he worked in precinct No. 5. The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at West Metro Church of Christ in Hiram.

Kiker is survived by his wife Lisa; son Landon (Ranae); daughter Courtney; and a host of other relatives.
