140 Participate in Early Voting

That total, based on numbers as of Thursday, will likely climb after polls close today.

As of 5 p.m. Thursday, 140 of the 7,918 registered voters in Powder Springs participated in early voting for the municipal elections.

Eleven of those were mail-in votes, while 129 voted in person—either at the building or at the Cobb elections office at 736 Whitlock Ave. in Marietta. Early voting will conclude at both locations at 5 p.m. today.

  • Mayor: Paul Moore, L. Rick Richardson, Pat Vaughn (incumbent)
  • At-large Post 1 council seat: Rosalyn Neal (incumbent), Rick Perry
  • At-large Post 2 council seat: Tom Bevirt (incumbent), Chris Wizner

There will be no voting on Monday, and Election Day is Tuesday. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
