3,000 People Participate in First 5 Days of Cobb County Advance Voting

Advance voting continues through Friday, July 27. Georgia's primary election is Tuesday, July 31.

The Cobb County Board of Elections reported that 2,955 people participated in the first five days of advance voting that began Monday, July 9. Of those voting, 2,383 were Republicans, 432 were Democrats and 140 voted non-partisan.

The Board has also issued 5,799 mail-in ballots: 4,086 Republican, 1,299 Democrat and 414 non-partisan.

Board of Elections Director Janine Eveler called these numbers “pretty much” typical for a primary election.

Advance voting continues through Friday, July 27 at the Cobb Board of Elections Office at 736 Whitlock Ave. in Marietta. Polls are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Advance voting at Cobb County satellite polling places begins Monday, July 23 and ends Friday, July 27. Here are the satellite polling places:

    Hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Election day is Tuesday, July 31. Some Smyrna residents will have to cast their ballots at different polling places than they're used to. Smyrna City Clerk Susan Hiott said at that those who normally vote at will use Fire Station No. 3 across the street at 2825 Park Road because of construction at the school. Those who normally vote at will vote at the Freeman Poole Senior Center at 4025 Hurt Road in Smyrna.
