City's Holiday and Sanitation Schedule
There are several days when Powder Springs city offices will be closed and weeks when yard waste will not be picked up.
The city's offices and routes will be closed:
- Friday, Dec. 23
- Monday, Dec. 26
- Monday, Jan. 2
- Monday, Jan. 16 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
Special notes about trash pick up:
- Yard waste will not be picked up the weeks of Dec. 26-30, Jan. 2-5, and Jan. 16-20.
- Trash that was to be picked up on Dec. 23 will be picked up on Tuesday, Dec. 27. Residents who are part of Friday routes are asked to have their trash out by 7 a.m. on Dec. 27.
- Crews will also attempt to pick up Tuesday routes on Tuesday, Dec. 27, but "it is possible that pickup may carry over into Wednesday, depending upon circumstances such as weather, equipment delays, staff availability, etc.," according to a city news release.
