GDOL to Recruit Workers in Cobb

The Georgia Department of Labor will be helping CarMax and Allied Barton recruit workers in Cobb County.

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will hold recruiting events Monday and Tuesday to help CarMax Auto Finance and Allied Barton Security fill a number of jobs in Cobb County. The sessions will be held at the GDOL’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center, located at 465 Big Shanty Road in Marietta.

On Monday, March 4, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., CarMax Auto Finance will be recruiting customer service representatives and collection agents. Prior to the recruitment, applicants are encouraged to apply online at www.carmaxautofinance.com/jobs.

On Tuesday, March 5, from 10 a.m. to noon, Allied Barton Security will be recruiting full-time and part-time security officers to work in the north metro Atlanta area. Salaries are $9.74 per hour. Applicants must have:

  • A high school diploma;
  • At least two years of security, military, or law enforcement experience;
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record;
  • A reference from a previous employer;
  • Good customer service and communications skills.
