The Georgia House of Representatives recognized the Christian Aid Mission Partnership in the current legislative with House Bill 1900 for the organization’s “vital role” in the area.

The nonprofit organization gives food, clothing and emergency financial assistance to those in need in Powder Springs, Austell, Mableton, Clarkdale and Lithia Springs.

Of those served, 47 percent are under age 18, and 7 percent are at least 55, the bill says.

“CAMP operates based on the generosity of others, including over 250 dedicated volunteers, and is a proud partner agency of the Atlanta Community Food Bank and United Way,” it reads.

The bill also mentions the organization’s largest annual fundraiser, the Spring Chicken Run, which celebrated and raised $20,000 .

The complete bill is attached.
