Interroll To Open Center in Paulding County
Interroll, a manufacturer based in Switzerland, will soon have a presence in Paulding County.
In a news release Friday, Interroll along with Paulding County Economic Development, Paulding Industrial Building Authority, Paulding Chamber of Commerce, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and Georgia Department of Economic Development announced that the company would be constructing a 93,000-square-foot North American manufacturing and showroom facility at Paulding Commerce Park on Bill Carruth Parkway in Hiram.

City Council Paves the Way for Growler Stores, Passes Other Alcohol Amendments
Smyrna City Council voted Monday to approve what City Administrator Eric Taylor called “the biggest overhaul we’ve had in our alcoholic beverage ordinance in quite some time.” Council approved several amendments to the city’s alcohol ordinance including one that allows for growler stores inside city limits.

Mayor: Fire District Veto 'Likely'
Despite pleas from more than a dozen seniors who said some of their poorest neighbors may now have to choose between tax obligations and basic necessities, the on Thursday voted 5-1 to create a special district that would help the city meet some of its long-term fire service needs and possibly shift some of that burden to elderly residents who have enjoyed a decade of voter-approved tax exemptions.

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) presented Marietta the Create Award for the city's innovation and use of technology.
When a major public safety event occurs in Marietta, such as a train derailment, storm or parade, the city's department heads meet in Marietta's crisis management center (CMC) to coordinate the city's response. This helps Marietta efficiently respond when an emergency occurs and improves the city's operations during a crisis.
