Governor Picks Local for State Board

James G. Cunningham, owner of Superior Plumbing, is one of five picked by Nathan Deal to serve on the State Construction Industry Licensing Board.

James G. Cunningham, a Powder Springs resident and owner of Superior Plumbing in Kennesaw, is one of five named last week by Gov. Nathan Deal to the State Construction Industry Licensing Board.

Cunningham is a licensed master plumber. He serves on the Cobb Schools Foundation Board, the Must Ministries Board, the Plumbing and Mechanical Association of Georgia Board, the Construction Education Foundation of Georgia Board, the Governor’s Workforce Development Committee, and the Cobb Chamber Workforce Development Committee.

Cunningham is a graduate of North Cobb High School. He and his wife, Wendy, have seven children.

The other four picked are Howard Mazier of Atlanta, Douglas County Sheriff Phil Miller of Douglasville, Judson Smith of Winder and Toby Car of Decatur.
