Safely Dispose of Medication Saturday

Medication Disposal Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Precinct One, Superstation Eight, 2380 Cobb Parkway NW, Kennesaw.

The largest source of pharmaceutical byproducts in water comes from the improper disposal of unused medications flushed down drains.

Organizations in Cobb have teamed up to educate the public about this issue and reduce pharmaceuticals in our waterways. Kaiser Permanente is partnering with Keep Cobb Beautiful and Cobb Public Safety to provide safe disposal of unused, expired prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications.

Medication Disposal Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Precinct One, Superstation Eight, 2380 Cobb Parkway NW, Kennesaw. This is an opportunity for residents to safely dispose of outdated or unused medications without even leaving their cars.
