A familiar face to UGA fans is coming to Cobb tonight, and those without tickets to see him still have time to get them.
Tonight’s “Performing for the Dream” benefit is being hosted by the Hillgrove Foundation in the Hillgrove High School auditorium. The event will feature guest speaker Vince Dooley, who served as the head football coach and director of athletics for the University of Georgia from 1964 to 2004.
A handful of $50 VIP tickets remain, which include an hourlong meet-and-greet with Dooley and light hors d’oeuvres starting at 6 p.m. VIP Tickets must be reserved at Hillgrove High, at 4165 Luther Ward Road in Powder Springs, or by contacting 678-331-3961.
General admission tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door or by visiting the Hillgrove Foundation website.
The night’s festivities include feature performances from visual and performing arts students from Hillgrove High School’s Fine Arts Department. Attendees also will be able to take part in a silent auction featuring 60-plus items up for bids.
The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. At 6, VIPs will gather in the media center while student performances take place in the theater. Dooley’s presentation will begin at 7, and the silent auction will end at 8. Dooley will be available after his talk to sign copies of his book.
