Hillgrove AP Headed to Fulton County

He will be an assistant principal at a Sandy Springs charter school.

A former assistant principal and athletic director at Hillgrove High has been hired as an assistant principal at Riverwood International Charter School in Sandy Springs.

Charles Amica Jr. will be reunited with former Hillgrove administrator Robert Shaw, Riverwood's new principal, according to 11Alive.

"I am truly looking forward to being a part of the Riverwood faculty," Amica said in a statement. "I enjoy being a part of high school students' lives because it serves as the springboard to adulthood for our students. Helping direct young lives towards becoming productive citizens in society has always been my passion."

A graduate of Georgia Southern University and Jacksonville State University, Amica lives in Union City, according to 11Alive.
