Hillgrove NJROTC Takes Home Awards

One of those was first place in academics in the Luella Drill Competition.

's Navy JROTC program took home several awards in the Luella Drill Competition on Saturday at Luella High School.

The 40-cadet team won:

  • First place in academics
  • Fourth place in armed basic
  • Fifth place in personal inspection

  • Academics (out of 225 cadets): Jacob Yingling—third highest score; Houtan Satarian—fourth highest score
  • Pushups: Austin Horan—second highest score of all males
  • Knockout drill (out of 100 cadets): Jacob Yingling—second overall; Houtan Satarian—fourth overall
