Where is the best place to send kids to learn before they step into kindergarten?

Each week, West Cobb Patch asks you to vote on the Readers' Choice for the best place to go for a particular product or service. This week, we're asking for your pick on the best preschool.

You can choose from these options, and if we're missing your choice, let us know in the comments below, and we'll add it:

Voting in the poll is open until 9 a.m. Friday. We will announce the winner around noon that day.

The winner will be based on the poll results and positive reviews and ratings in West Cobb Patch Places. So after you vote in the poll, be sure to click on the name of the preschool above so you can give your pick a five-star rating and review.

If there's a tie, we'll break it based on the most positive comments, so tell us why you love your preschool in the comment section below.

Douglasville Patch, Dallas-Hiram Patch and Marietta Patch also are asking people to choose the best preschools, so be sure to vote on your nearby favorites.

Next week we'll ask about your favorite place to get sweet tea in West Cobb. If you have any recommendations for that poll, please add them in the comments below.

My daughter has been a part of Trinity since she was two in Mother's Morning Out. She is not in the three year-old preschool and absolutely loves coming to school, her teacher and her friends. I love Trinity and how patient and loving the teachers are there. While they are loving and kind, they also enforce good manners and treating one another with kindness and being thoughtful of others feelings. My daughter loves the massive playroom as well as cooking with Bon Appetit Kids (a once a month cooking class which teaches the children measurements and safety in the kitchen, they also get to sample their finished products). I also love the fact that everything revolves around Christ. I have never felt such a Godly presence in a school. Trinity takes a ot of time to include parents as well as uplift us parents during events such as Mother's Tea (so sweet) and Breakfast for Dad's. I have to say the speakers will bring you to tears as they are so spirit-filled and devout Christians. My younger daughter will start next year and I will have the opportunity to enjoy all of these things two-fold! Call them for a visit, you will not be disappointed!

Please add Riverstone Montessori Academy. Its program extends from Preschool through Middle School and offers the original advanced AMI Curriculum found in Montessori schools around the world. The creators of Google, Amazon, Wikipedia, TheSIMS and more are all Montessori alumni who credit their experience in a Montessori as being a part of their ability to innovate and succeed. RMA continues this tradition by providing a truly individualized curriculum focused on advanced math, science and language, combined social and professional skill development. Montessori students gain skills that allow them to be successful in life. This experience is combined with daily fine arts, music, gardening, culinary skills and more fun opportunities. The teachers at all levels receive a Master's level education specifically designed to address the academic and developmental needs of all children. The curriculum does not change with each new educational fad, but is consistent around the world and what our IT Grads experienced as young children. RMA elementary students routinely score at a high school level and middle school students at a college level on nationally-normed standardized tests such as the ITBS. There is a reason Princes and Presidents choose Montessori schools for their children, so its great to have this in Marietta.

My oldest daughter is finishing her second year at Trinity Chapel Preschool and we have loved every minute of it. The staff is excellent and I've been so impressed by everything she has learned. I know every time I entrust her into their care she is safe, loved and having a great time. My daughter loves the music and cooking classes. This is a great school for parents who want their children to have a strong biblical foundation. I'm just happy I have two more daughters (and 4 more years) to go through their preschool.

My youngest son attended Trinity Chapel Preschool, the staff and the teachers poured into my son spiritually, emotionally and mentally. I truly feel that he entered kindergarten prepared on so many levels. I would highly recommend this preschool to any parent looking for a well rounded program. Cooking classes, field trips, science days, music class, PE classes and chapel are just a few of the programs the school offers.

I have two daughters that have gone through Trinity Chapel Preschool, and a son that will be there next year. Being a teacher myself (in the public school system), I can say that there is no other place that I would rather have my children! They are loved and prayed for every day, and have exceeded academically because of the time the teachers and staff have invested in the education of my girls. We love TCP, and look forward to another FABULOUS year!

Riverstone Montessori is an unique and beautiful approach to education. My son goes there and started right before he turned 3 and just blossomed. The Primary teachers are extremely well prepared, caring and intuitive with the children. They can move at their own pace and things are looked at from a different perspective there. I've never seen a school quite like it. You can have 30 preschoolers in one room working harmoniously. There's a little magic in the air there and it's very special. Ms. Janie, Ms. Carmita, and Ms. Traci, including the administrators of the school, do everything they can to make it a strong, peaceful and caring community.

Hands down best preschool in West Cobb! Pre-school is not too big and faculty knows all the children. Such a loving & nurturing environment.
Anna Speaks March 22, 2012 at 02:16 PM
My earlier comment was a review on Due West United Methodist Pre-school. Just the best in West Cobb! I would not put my son anywhere else.

We just had conference with my girls teacher and it confirmed what I already knew. They are more than ready for kindergarten next fall. They are testing kindergarten to mid-kindergarten level and eager to learn something new each day. Amazing and what a blessing! Due West Preschool all the way!!!

Due West Preschool is absolutely the best! The teachers are very caring and attentive, and I am amazed at the progress my son has made this year. He is definitely ready for Kindergarten. And best of all, he LOVES going to school!

It's difficult to comapare Riverstone Montessori to pre-schools...the difference is so profound when you walk in and see the real, meaningful and purposeful work the children do, willingly and happily!

Please add Primrose @ Oregon Park - it is absolutely amazing!!

Due West Methodist is a wonderful, nuturing learning environment.

I love the program at First Baptist Church in Powder Springs. All 4 of my kids have attended their program either the pre-k or the kindergarten classes. My 3 youngest have attended their kindergarten program and I have nothing but praise for the teachers and the other staff.(When my oldest who is now 22 went there, they did not have the kindergarten program, or she would have gone there too!) They prepared my children for 1st. grade and gave them a solid foundation to start off their schooling. I highly recommend this school as they are very involved in the academic and social growth of the children that attend there.

Hi LisaC, you can actually find Primrose in Marietta's Readers' Choice: http://marietta.patch.com/articles/readers-choice-marietta-preschools

I am so impressed with Trinity Chapel Preschool! My daughter has just blossomed Into this polite, respectful and smart little girl who loves God in a matter of months! Not to mention, she did incredibly well on her kindergarten rediness exam! I was continuously touched by the sweet gestures of love through the children's preformances and teacher's efforts year long. I will, without a doubt send my younger daughter to Trinity Chapel Preschool!!

My son is close to completing his second year at Trinity Chapel Preschool. I had the pleasure of staying home with him until he was almost 3 and was nervous about the decision to send him to school. He first attended the Mother's Morning Out Program at Trinity and then transitioned to Trinity Chapel Preschool 2 years ago. They have a wonderful program and a loving staff of ladies who really pour their lives into the care of our precious children. The teachers and staff always display a loving and caring attitude not only towards the children, but also towards the parents. My son loves chapel time, music, PE and classroom time. The school hallways and classrooms are always decorated so beautifully with bright colors and themes that the children love. I have seen my son flourish and build sweet relationships with his friends and teachers. I am at total peace when he is at preschool, because I know that he is in good hands. I will miss TCPS next year for sure.

OK, last week's Readers' Choice of best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day had two votes, one of them being mine; this week, we have more than 1,000. The lesson learned: There are no Irish in West Cobb, but there are lots of toddlers.
ELIZABETH March 23, 2012 at 03:41 AM
Several students past and present drive from North Paulding area to attend Due West UMC preschool. Such a great place with a great reputation. Thanks for including them !
Michelle Floyd March 23, 2012 at 09:59 AM
My son went to Ivy Hall Day School and it was wonderful! You should add them to your list.
Julie March 23, 2012 at 12:02 PM
Due West UMC preschool is the best!! Not only is it a wonderful, loving Church but the preschool is phenomenal!! We currently have our 3rd little girl there and we have found that our children have been loved on, prayed over and have been extremely ready academically and socially for kindergarten!!....
Patrick Davalos March 23, 2012 at 01:00 PM
Due West United Methodist preschool is a great place for your child to learn and thrive! My son had the best experience during his three years at Due West. The teachers are the best - caring and attentive. The curriculum is top notch and your child will be prepared once they enter kindergarten.
NicoleG March 23, 2012 at 02:09 PM
I hope that when you post the winner of this poll, you will also include the size of the student enrollment in your rankings. I know there are lots of great preschools out there, but I am very proud of our Due West Methodist showing in this poll! They have an amazing program there and are doing an incredible job with the children who attend! They are by no means the biggest, and may not have the number of students/parents needed to win this poll, but there is no better place to send your children to preschool in West Cobb. To be fair, when you post the results of the poll, I would like to see stats on the sizes of the preschools as well, and what ages it includes!
