Vote on Cobb Schools Calendar Closes Thursday

The county's Board of Education will then consider changing the structure for 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 based on the results.

Cobb County citizens have until 1 p.m. Thursday to give their input via survey on the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 school calendars.

The Cobb County Board of Education  to launch the online survey, which started Friday. Members will take the survey's results into consideration before making a final decision at Thursday night's board meeting.

The public meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Cobb Central Office at 514 Glover St. in Marietta. Return to Patch Thursday night for live blogging of the meeting.

The three options are classified by the school year's possible start dates: Aug. 1, 15 and 17. Each option is attached to this article in PDF form. The Aug. 1 option is currently used by the county.
