As we await the preparation of our new building, a group of congregants from our congregation and visitors, with their children and grandchildren, came together in a West Cobb subdivision clubhouse for a celebration of Hanukkah led by Lisa Liebovitz of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta PJ Library Atlanta and student from the KSU Hillel Chapter. The Menorah was lit and the children were treated to a reading of a book from the PJ Library and making a craft, plus food made by those attending.PJ Library brings the gift of FREE age-appropriate, Jewish-themed books to children ages 6 months through 8 years old throughout Metro Atlanta.
PJ Library, a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, gives the gift of free, age-appropriate, Jewish-themed books along with high-quality, valuable and diverse programming throughout the Metro Atlanta area to children ages 6 months through 8 years old. Atlanta is part of more than 185 participating communities throughout the United States and worldwide. In 2007, Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta brought the PJ Library program to our community. We now reach over 3,500 households a month.
