Boys Soccer Tournament Kicks Off Today

The march to the soccer state championship starts today for . If the Hawks end up in the state title game, they'll have earned a lot of frequent flyer (or frequent bus) miles along the way.

First up for Hillgrove is a matchup against No. 1 seeded East Coweta. The Indians ran the table this season with a 7-0 record in Region 2-AAAAA. Lately, though, they've been struggling: East Coweta closed out the final four games of the regular season with a 1-2-1 record.

If Hillgrove can get past the Indians on their turf, they'll get on a bus and either head three hours away to Douglas (playing Coffee High School) or four hours away to Savannah (playing Windsor Forest).

Today's game versus East Coweta is set to start at 7:30 p.m.
