Run For The Ages - 5K and Fun Run

Powder Springs Woman’s Club is hosting its first Annual Run for the Ages 5k and Fun Run.

Proceeds from the race will benefit both the Woman’s Club Scholarship fund and the Alzheimer’s Association. The race will be held on Sat., May 5 and will begin and end at the Powder Springs Library. The 1 Mile Fun Run will begin at 8am with the 5k following with a 8:30am start time. The course will take racers on the streets of Powder Springs and back to the library for awards and refreshments.

Parents of children participating in the Fun Run are welcome to run the race with the kids. All participants in the races will receive a t-shirt, Fun Run participants will receive an award and Division awards will be as follows:

· Master, 55 yr and older

· Overall, 15 yrs to 55 yrs

· Youngest, 6-15 yrs

· Oldest Participant

Cost for participating in $10 for elementary school children or younger, $20 for all others through May 1, and $25 through day of the race. Race day registrations will be accepted. For more information, please call June Rainwater 678-687-5286 or Cindy Lomax 404-992-6524.
