Friday Football Preview: Indians Host Hawks

In what is certainly the biggest game of the season for both teams, Hillgrove will be heading to McEachern, while Lithia Springs travels to Douglas County.

Hillgrove (5-0, 2-0) at McEachern (5-0, 2-0)—Tonight’s matchup might be the single biggest Cobb County football game that’s been played over the last five years. Both teams enter the game ranked in the state ( No. 1 and No. 6, according to the Associated Press) and nationally (McEachern is No. 32 and Hillgrove is No. 33, according to the Rivals High 100). Vote in our friendly poll at the bottom of on who you think will win.

Lithia Springs (0-5, 0-2) at Douglas County (0-6, 0-3)—Both teams are winless on the season, but will have to shore up its defense if it hopes to break into the win column, which should give the advantage. No team in the region has given up more than the Tigers—36 points per game this season.
