The Lady Hawks play Collins Hill tonight for a spot in the championship game after winning twice Thursday in the state tournament.

The Lady Hawks won their first two games in the Georgia High School Association’s eight-team championship tournament Thursday in Columbus, the Marietta Daily Journal reported:

A win would put the Lady Hawks into the championship game at noon Saturday. Even if they lost that game, they would have a second chance to take the title in the double-elimination tournament.

If the Hawks lose tonight, they’ll play the survivor of the losers bracket at 10 a.m. Saturday. They would have to win that game, then beat Collins Hill twice in the afternoon to grab the school’s first diamond championship.
