How It All Went Wrong for the Hawks

Here's how the horrible seventh inning played out for Hillgrove on Monday.

When the seventh inning started Monday, led 10-8 and needed just three outs while giving up no more than one run to claim its first AAAAA state baseball championship. When it was over, host had a 21-10 win and the Georgia High School Association title.

  • Tyler Mauzy grounds up the middle, but Parkview gets the middle runner. First and third with one out.

  • The Parkview Panthers are the GHSA AAAAA State Baseball Champions.
