Indians Paste Benedictine, 56-12
McEachern won its first-round playoff game over Benedictine Friday.
The rolled Friday in the first round of the GHSA Class AAAAA State Football Championships, beating Benedictine, 56-12.
McEachern head coach Kyle Hockman told the Marietta Daily Journal he was pleased and that his team "performed up to our level" in its win over Benedictine.
A unit that exceeded expectations was the running back corps. Nine different ball carriers combined for 240 yards on the ground to pace the Indians and set the tone for the evening.
McEachern moved to 10-1 on the season, its lone loss to rival Hillgrove.
The Indians host cross-Cobb foe Lassiter next friday in the second round of the playoffs.
