McEachern Hosting Doubleheader Friday
Here's what's happening in high school athletics in Powder Springs-Lithia Springs Patch on April 8.
On March 24, 's baseball season looked all but over. The Indians sat at 1-11 and were tied for last in Region 4-AAAAA. However, thanks to three wins in their last four games, the Indians—despite their current 4-11 showing—have shot up to fourth place in the region with a 3-2 record.
McEachern looks to continue its resurgence in Friday's double-header, which starts at 4 p.m. First up for the Indians will be Cherokee. Thirty minutes after game one ends, McEachern will take the field for game two against state 4A power Marist. The War Eagles— who sport a 14-2 record—are the No. 2 ranked team in AAAA. Game one of the doubleheader will be McEachern's first game since March 31.
