'Obama' Truck Dumps Nails at Tea Party Rally

Before a Tea Party rally in Wisconsin Saturday for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, a truck affixed with "Obama" stickers drove through the parking lot and dumped quantities of nails.

The Tea Party filed a report with the Racine (WI) Police Department.

"The report says that sometime between 9 and 11 a.m. someone threw roofing nails across the parking lot," one officer told Patch. "There is no mention of a type of vehicle or ideas for who might have done this." Read more...

Parade to Follow Giants' World Series Win

San Francisco is preparing to hold a ticker tape parade and celebration following the Giants 4-0 World Series sweep over the Detroit Tigers, the city's mayor, Ed Lee, announced after the final victory Sunday.

The World Series victory marks the team's second in three years.

Driver Dies in California Race

A 20-year-old sprint car driver died during the Open 360 Commemorative Race at Calistoga (Calif.) Speedway Saturday evening.

Tyler Wolf was coming out of a turn when he lost control and crashed head-on into the wall that borders the racetrack. He sustained major head injuries as a result of the crash. Read more...
