In London, Olympic Wrestlers Supported by West Cobb Doctor

A West Cobb doctor is at the London Olympics serving as the chiropractor and peak performance specialist for the U.S. men's freestyle wrestling team.

Dr. Fred Roberto of West Cobb Chiropratic on Dallas Highway has been traveling with the team for the last several years, especially during the past six months.

“The wrestlers have responded extremely well under chiropractic care," he said in an email. "They are really starting to see how it can enhance their performance and overall health. It is exciting to be a part of the preparation process these guys go through to make it to this level of competition."

Roberto works very closely with the team, delivering advanced spinal correction. This helps their performance and allows them to recover from injuries more quickly.  

"In a sport where there is only the slightest degree of separation between the winner and loser, it is crucial that their bodies are functioning at 100 percent," his wife, Kimberly, wrote in an email to Patch.

Roberto also works with the athletes on their nutrition.
