What To Do on a Sunny Day? Come Shop, Eat and Drink Locally!

There are plenty of reasons to check out downtown Powder Springs.

Another day of busy buzzing about with our renovations at the . We have almost finished moving out of our trade-in center on Broad Street and are now trying to stuff 1500 square feet of building into a 140-square-foot kitchen.  

Oddly enough, it looks like it is going to work. Yes, we are having to store a few books—OK, maybe a few thousand or so—way off site at a nice climate-controlled storage facility. But in the end, it should be so much better to be able to take all the wonderful new inventory into the store directly so it can get on the shelves quicker.  

Our customers have been tolerant during out transition, and hopefully by next Monday, we should be back to business and have everything in the right place—wherever that is.

Have you been to lately? Joan and her lovely ladies are waiting for you to have a relaxing time, enjoy a yummy lunch and shop in the great gift area. If you just want to shop in the gift shop, you will be surprised how many pretty and useful items they have to purchase.

The also awaits you and has so many new items for you to see. Whether it is artwork from a local artist, a delicious smelling candle or an old antique hatbox, new items are constantly being added.

Oh, and don't forget to catch  at 8 p.m. on Friday at the  Get there early for a good seat.

I have a feeling we will be outside listening as this looks to be a very well-attended event. But as long as I have my favorite drink from inside the coffee shop in hand, that is OK!
