Today Last Day for Field of Flags

Today is the last day to go see the Field of Flags on Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.

Today is the last day to go see the Field of Flags on Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. I took the opportunity to drive up the mountain on Wednesday, September 14th.

Each flag not only symbolizes America and the freedoms that many have fought and died for throughout our great history, but each flag also represents a personal loss of someone's father, mother, son, daughter, family member and a friend. There are nearly 3,000 flags standing in the open field by the park's visitor's center.

As I walked among the sea of red, white and blue flags, I saw families gathering together beside the grouping of flags to see this spectacular site. I took many pictures with my camera.

I also found families asking to have me take a photo of their family with their camera so that the whole family can look at their photos to remember how they felt at that time of 10 years later and what September 11, 2001, meant to them as their family grows.

I urge you to go up the mountain and whether you drive by and see the flags from the roadside or if you decide to park your car get out and walk through this display.  Your day will be changed! You will be changed!
